Institute for Research of Genocide Canada calls for action
Institute for Research of Genocide Canada invites all organizations and individuals in the world to write to Mr. Theodore Meron, President of the International Criminal Tribunal for former Yugoslavia with a request to initiate change the original decision of the Trial Chamber III of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia which acquitted former war criminal Radovan Karadzic of committing one count of genocide in the municipalities of Bratunac, Foca, Kljuc, Prijedor, Sanski Most, Vlasenica and Zvornik.

The Trial Chamber of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, presided by Korean Judge O-Gon Kwon, on June 28th, 2012 ruled that there is not sufficient evidence that the Serb forces under the leadership of the war criminal Radovan Karadzic have committed genocide in the municipalities of Bratunac, Foca, Kljuc, Prijedor, Sanski Most, Vlasenica and Zvornik, although on June 16, 2004 the same Court has ruled that the late former president of SR Yugoslavia and Serbia Slobodan Milosevic, was guilty of genocide in the same seven above listed Bosnian municipalities.
Judgment in the case of ‘Milosevic’ is sufficient to keep the attitude that in Bosnia and Herzegovina genocide was committed. So there are legal arguments to condemn Radovan Karadzic for genocide.
We invite you to comply with your responsibilities, based on rules of procedure of the Tribunal to initiate changes of the original decision of the Board of the Judicial Tribunal in accordance with the Convention on Genocide, and in accordance with the already existing documentation on the genocide that is located in the tribunal.
We want to remind you once again that many relevant scientific research sources of different provenances from around the world confidently point to two facts, the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina was attacked by classical military aggression, which was an attack and threat against peace and security of mankind, which is the basic understanding and definition of international armed conflict on the occupied territories of the independent and universally recognized Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the United Nations, as well as in cities in the siege, against Bosniaks was performed worst crime – crime of genocide. We are talking about the crimes that occur on the basis of fascist ideology, genocidal policies, Greater project, a joint criminal enterprise, the nationalist movement, aggressive and genocidal strategy of the state of Serbia, and other antagonistic groups that formed in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Such fascist ideologies, policies and practices of genocidal character aimed at the formation of the Greater State on account of an independent and sovereign, historically permanent and clearly defined state of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Starting from the fact that this political decision of the Tribunal may have unforeseeable, negative consequences for the process of democratization, peace and reconciliation in the region for truth and justice in the world and that it further reduces the already shaky tribunal, which was established to condemn the crime of genocide in Bosnia and Hercegovina, that would have left offspring of human civilization in the fear of re-genocide, we invite you to comply with the rules of the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia on the basis of the Genocide Convention, the decision to initiate the changes that the Panel has made a serious mistake when clearly found that there is no evidence beyond the level of suspicion for the crime of genocide in those municipalities in Bosnia and Hercegovina.

It is important to note that numerous scientific research sources from around the world point to the fact that the Republic of BiH was attacked by classical military aggression. These well documented crimes occurred at the expense of an independent and sovereign state of BiH. At the heart of these policies stood a fascist ideology which was aimed at forming a Greater Serbia.
