During a recent visit to Bosnia and Herzegovina, members of the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada visited the camp “Kod Sonje”. The Institute for Research of Genocide Canada proposed that the building of the former camp where they raped Bosniak women should be converted into a museum, serving as a constant reminder that the most serious form of crime against women, the crime of rape, would never happen again. The rape of Bosniak women was a part of an aggressive genocidal strategy with lasting consequences. Hon. Brian Masse a Member of the Canadian Parliament and sponsor of the Resolution on genocide in Srebrenica, which was adopted in the Canadian parliament, also visited the camp “Kod Sonje”.
