Maung Zarni is Member of the International Expert Team of the Institute for Research of genocide, Canada. He is a Burmese scholar-activist in exile. He is currently Visiting Senior Research Fellow with the University of Malaya Center for Democracy and Elections, Scientific Collaborator with Harvard University Global Equity Initiative, and Visiting Fellow at the Civil Society and Human Security Research Unit, London School of Economics. He is widely recognized as an outspoken public intellectual on the issues of democratization, anti-Muslim racism, human rights and minority rights.
