Over 130 prominent world intellectuals – researchers of the crime of genocide and leaders for the protection of human rights and freedoms – members of the International Expert Team of the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada, are making an important request. With this urgent letter, they ask the members of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the Bosnian political establishment, to immediately put an end to the open and outright meddling of the Republic of Serbia in its domestic affairs. They also seek the implementation of the decisions of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which has declared that a so-called holiday known as the “Day of the Serb Republic” (a day celebrating the existence of the Serb Republic entity of Bosnia-Herzegovina, January 9th) as being unconstitutional. They are also asking for the application of the judgment of the International Court of Justice in 2007 against the Serb Republic entity of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the crime of genocide.
