IGC: Appeal of Intellectuals

Press Release of the International team of experts of the Institute for Research of Genocide Canada

February 09, 2017.

In the moments when anonymous Thimothy Less in the prestigious Foreign Affairs redraw the boundaries of the Balkans according to someone’s instructions, in a time when Germany warns that the European Union – if it falls apart, will fall apart because of the Balkans; at a time when the terrified EU diplomats are lost in the post-brexit and post-Obama era, we want to affirm our commitment to morality in politics and give our voice to the unified and sovereign Bosnia and Herzegovina.

With this letter, we would like to support the views of  the warnings of prominent Bosnian and Herzegovinian organizations in the homeland and Diaspora and prominent academics, researchers and human rights activists and freedom of January 31 this year, regarding activities directed against Bosnia and Herzegovina; activities of parallel foreign network of Milorad Dodik, Bosnian politician placed on a US black list. Such activities, through the offices of the Republic of Srpska, are unconstitutional, anti-Dayton and against Bosnia and Herzegovina. They are all para-state, para-referendum, para-police and para-intelligence activities of the ruling group in the Republic of Srpska.

However, nota bene Europe, such action is against the European Union as well. Redrawing the borders is Dodik’s goal; the dissolution of the EU is his pledge for the dissolution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the panic of the European leadership is a state which he, along with his protectors, desires and prepares for.

Let us be clear. For once, not so long ago, one was shooting through Bosnia and Herzegovina at Europe, at the very heart of Europe. Namely, the assassination of Austro-Hungarian Archduke in Bosnia’s capital Sarajevo was used as a medium for the dissolution of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the beginning of World War II. Nowadays, in 2017, through Bosnia and Herzegovina as Dodik’s medium, one is shooting again, this time at the European Union. Someone wants the dissolution of the EU, nota bene, Europe!

We are convinced that Bosnia and Herzegovina will continue its path of statehood. In order to facilitate that path, in order to make the life for its citizens and peoples easier, in order that the EU could continue to resolve its increasing problems without Balkan imputations, we appeal that internal and external anti-European and anti-Dayton actions of the RS administration headed by the person on a US blacklist, stop immediately.
